Few words of caution before reading my poems. It is human tendency to think as to what might have inspired the author to write the poem. I don't blame anyone of you for thinking the same. All the poems were written during my seventh semester of engineering. Most of them during the PL(preparation leave). Everyone at my home used to sleep by 11 pm and it was me alone burning the night oil to study. I had a habit of studying while watching television. Yes, book in one hand and the remote in another. Those days there was a television show "Wah, Wah!" , an episode of this show was broadcasted everyday at 11:30 pm. The show was excellent with people from all over the country showing their talents in writing. Of course like any other show they also displayed the talents of the professional poets but what I liked about the show was the simple use of language by some poets. After watching some episodes I thought of giving it a try. All I had to do was think of some theme and some rhyming words which I would use at end of each line. And there it was, just after few minutes of brainstorming, my first piece of writing. I do not recollect, at this moment, which was my first piece but here I will start with the one which I like the most.
DISCLAIMER: George Lucas never went to one of those far, far galaxies to make star wars. Similarly I haven't been through these experiences, just picked up some random thoughts from "galaxies" far, far away....
Socha tha kya aur Paaya hai kya...
mere samne jab woh khadi thi
dekh rahi apni ghadi thi
is baar phir mujhe lagaa
hum pehle kahin mile hain kyaa ??
lekin humne toh
socha tha kyaa aur paaya hai kyaa........
usse nazrein milne hi waali thi
aankhon hi aankhon mein baat hone hi waali thi
tabhi usne keh diya
bhaiyyaa zara bataana, waqt hua hai kyaa ??

yeh kyaa keh gayi , daiyya re daiyya
jise banana tha saiyyaan use hi bana gai bhaiyya
parantu agle hi din hum unki or phir chal diye
kyon ki dil mein jal rahe the pyaar ke diye
humse sahi nahi jaa rahi thi judaai
bus kisi tarah humne himmat jutaai
aur unse aakhir pooch hi liya
mujhse shaadi karogi kyaa ??
turant hi woh boli
ek safal aadmi ban ke dikha sakte ho kyaa ??
uski baat mein toh dum tha
akal se main bhi thoda kum tha
socha bus ek baar jivan mein safal holu
phir jivan bhar ke liye uska saath palun
bus, yun hi thode varsh beet gaye
ant mein hum safal ho gaye
hamare kadam phir unki or chal diye
aaj bhi woh wahin khadi thi
haath mein wahi puraani ghadi thi
par god mein kisi ki bachhi thi
humein pataa nahin kiski thi
khair humein us se kyaa
humne toh aaj phir pooch liya
janaab humein pehchana kyaa ??
phir toh jis tarah woh muskuraai
us muskurahat ne ek umeed jagaai
bacchi ko usne humse milwaaya yeh kehkar
